1.First, make the homemade fish steak. In a blender, blend the cod, cut into small pieces, with half the coriander and half the lime juice. Be careful to blend in small batches so as not to obtain a mush. Add salt and pepper to taste. Shape the mixture into a medium steak and chill.
 2. Chop the onion finely and slice the tomato. Chop the coriander and press the garlic.
 3. In a bowl, mix the garlic, mustard, remaining lemon juice and yogurt. Stir in the cilantro and mix again to make a smooth sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste.
In a non-stick pan, heat the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, fry the fish steak for 3 minutes on each side. It should be browned but not overcooked.
Finally, put the burger bun under the broiler or toaster for 2 minutes until lightly browned. Arrange the fish burger. Start by placing the lettuce, tomatoes and chopped onion on the bottom slice of bread. On top, place the fish steak. Spread the yogurt sauce generously on the second slice of the burger bun before closing and enjoying.

Tips

To save time with this recipe, you can simply pan-fry your cod fillet without making the fish steak. The burger will be just as good! Depending on what you have available, this recipe can be made with any other white fish of your choice: pollock, hake, halibut, etc.
