Crockpot Ham, Green Beans, and Potatoes

 This Crockpot Green Bean And Potato Pork Tenderloin is very fast to assemble and is very tasty and delicious.

The flavors blend together perfectly, mixing the pork with unique but not outlandish herbs and spices.

 The only thing missing is a side of bread if you like it.

I recommend you to use pork shank in this recipe, as the bones will produce extra flavor.

However, you can definitely use leftover pork if that's what you have on hand. You only need to mix 2 cups of cooked pork, pork chops instead of pork shank.

Also, it is best to use fresh green beans if you have them, but frozen green beans come second.

However, do not use canned green beans, as they are already cooked and will turn into mush by the end of the cooking time.

However, if all you have is canned green beans, you can add canned green beans and matrix during the last 30 minutes of cooking time just to heat them up.

I like this recipe for green beans, potatoes, and ham because of the combination of flavors. A touch of cinnamon and cloves matches the ham. Perfect for thyme with green beans.

Onion and garlic powders work well with all of this. Mixing them all ends up with a great mix of flavors.

I hope he feels the same!

* Ingredients :

° 1 pound of pork hock (also called pork shank) (or 2 cups of cooked pork chops)
° 36 ounces of fresh or frozen green beans (in small chunks)
° 3 cups of water
° 4 large yellow or red potatoes, cut into small pieces
° 1 tablespoon dry thyme
° 1 teaspoon garlic powder
° 1 teaspoon onion powder
° Half a teaspoon of black pepper
° 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
° ¼ 1 teaspoon ground cloves
° ½ 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
° Oil, just drizzle (about 1-2 tablespoons)

* Instructions :

Add pork shank (or pork chops) to the bottom of the crock pot, then pour in green beans, water, and potato chunks. Don't cut the potatoes too large, or they will have a hard time finishing when everything else is ready. I like to go an inch or smaller.

Next, add thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, cloves, and cinnamon. Mix them well, then sprinkle them with a little oil (1-2 tablespoons) before covering.

Cooking on rise heat about 4 h or on low heat about 6-7 h. It all depends on whether or not you are going home and how quickly you want to go. Do not overcook, as the green beans will turn into mush. But you want the potatoes to ripen.

Once the green beans and potatoes are cooked, you will remove the shank of the pork and let it cool down a bit before dicing the meat. Turn the crock pot on the warm setting while the pork chops are cooling and chopping. Add the pork chops again and serve.

Enjoy !
